I know I've heard from several about how my layouts do not fit those with computer screens larger than 17". Well, for a while now I figured that I could have a way to fix that, but it wasn't until today with the help of a new friend that my idea was right!
(In order to make my layout fit full screen, you need a Photobucket account. It's free.)
Click on the layout that you want and when it shows up full screen on the next page, SAVE IT to your computer.
Then, go to your Photobucket account and upload the layout under "Reduce to:" click the drop down and select "1 megabyte file size"
Then copy the DIRECT LINK it gives you and add it to your HTML code. Viola, you have a full screened layout. I advise that if you have the smaller screens (like I do, which is why I make them that way) the full screen layout will be super huge!!
I know some of you are saying, "Allison, why don't you do it for us?"
Well, you can do it. It's not that hard. And besides, I already get messages by the time my month is up that I'm nearing the end of my uploading limit for my account. I can't make more layouts if I'm using up all my bandwidth uploading my layout twice. Sorry! I hope you understand.

It worked great, and I'm so glad you were able to figure it out! Thanks for everything!!
huh...I was wondering about it not being full screen. It didn't really matter because it looks so good anyway!!! Thanks for the info..I am off to try it!
I followed the directions (a few times... lol), and I still can't get the layout to show up full screen. Where do you add the direct link to the HTML code??
Kindof a wierd question here, do you mean to make your header over the border? I can help you fix that if you want to fix that, I see peoples over it, and maybe you all like it but if not, let me know.. just from one designer to another...
Ok...so I still need help...I can't figure out where to add the direct link either? I am new at this and still on the slow side of the HTML thing..
Where do I paste the direct link?
Thanks
It didn't seem to work for me. Maybe it is the design I tried.
Got it. Thanks. You just have to see it big then upload.
Just learning!

thanks for the help ,
but i don't know where to paste the code ?
please reply ASAP ,
thanks :D
I tried it, but it still came up small. I'm pretty sure I did it right, so maybe it's just that particular design. (I used the design from the Prim Love kit.)
So simple! Thanks so much!
I cannot get it to work. I got the direct link from photobucket and I put it into a HTML code but the code showed up in the sidebar and there is no image for the background. Could you please help me? Thanks

I designed my background for my 17" monitor on a high res...but my sister has a small monitor on a lower res so I resized the pic to work for her...and her blog looks horrible on my big screen!
When we were using freebie blog backgrounds we never had problems!
Can you help me?
I love your bakcgrounds! I just switched my blog to three columns and I can't get your background to fit full screen. I've tried and retried by saving it different ways and I still can't get it to work. If you could help, I'd appreciate it because I love how cute it is! Thanks!
Thanks for the tip!
I'm having a really hard time with this as well. I just came across your blog and would like to figure out how to make it full screen. Thanks!
